Reinventing My Journey: Venturing into Uncharted Territories
After 22 years, I find myself standing at a profound crossroad in my professional journey, bracing myself to embark on a new industry — one that possesses the extraordinary ability to touch lives in ways I never thought possible.

Honestly, I couldn’t have foreseen this extraordinary turn of events, and I can almost hear the echoes of laughter from my biology lecturer back in school. 😂 Nevertheless, here I am, ready to take a leap into the vast unknown, fueled by an indomitable desire to create a profound impact.
It all began in the year 2000 when I entered the world of banking immediately after completing my MBA at IMT, Ghaziabad. The path of a banker stretched out before me, until the allure of the marketing realm captivated my heart.
For years, I poured my heart and soul into building and investing in products that would empower the next generation. From financial aggregation to digital banking services to remittance solutions for Africa and angel investments in some amazing startups, my dedication knew no bounds. Yet, amidst this relentless pursuit, a moment of revelation struck me with the force of a lightning bolt.
During my days in the banking sector, where I aided individuals in realizing their dreams of homeownership (all credit to my role as retail assets professional), I came to truly comprehend that genuine wealth extends far beyond material possessions — it resides within the realm of good health.
Over the past six years, I have endured the devastating loss that pierced my heart to its core. In a moment that shattered my world, I had to bid farewell to my revered father, who not only served as my guiding light and source of inspiration but also stood as the unwavering foundation of my life. His departure has left an irreplaceable void, an emptiness that can never be filled. Tragically, his untimely passing was a consequence of a renowned hospital’s incompetence — one that saw us as mere contributors to their financial gains. They callously disregarded the sanctity of a human life. This heart-wrenching experience has left me with no choice but to reevaluate my path and seek a change.
In December, I made the agonizing decision to step away from the company I founded in Kenya, with a sole purpose in mind — returning to India to wholeheartedly dedicate myself to my family and the cause that I ardently wish to pursue.
In recent months, I embarked on a transformative journey, traversing multiple countries and engaging in profound conversations with countless healthcare professionals. From brilliant scientists and dedicated doctors to pioneering researchers and visionary healthcare investors, I immersed myself in their wisdom, eagerly absorbing their insights to broaden my understanding of the intricate healthcare landscape.

There exists an overwhelming amount of work to be done in advancing healthcare for the betterment of humanity.
The existing healthcare ecosystem predominantly revolves around patients, yet this approach often proves exorbitantly expensive and frequently falls short in addressing critical needs in a timely manner.
According to the United Nations, the number of individuals aged 60 and above is projected to reach a staggering 2.1 billion by 2050, necessitating comprehensive in-home care solutions. The advent of groundbreaking technology has revolutionized home healthcare, empowering us with tools such as remote patient monitoring, tele-health consultations, and wearable devices capable of tracking vital health parameters. These remarkable innovations not only enhance patient care but also facilitate effective communication with healthcare providers like us, leading to a reduction in hospital readmissions.
Research published in the Journal of the American Healthcare Society has unequivocally demonstrated that home-based primary care significantly diminishes hospitalization rates and emergency department visits among patients of all age groups, resulting in improved health outcomes and a higher quality of life. The integration of personalized care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences within the framework of home healthcare fosters better patient engagement and satisfaction, ultimately culminating in enhanced overall health outcomes.
